Position Overview:PKF-Mark III, Inc. is searching for an individual with 1-3 years of experience in construction safety, ideally who is familiar with heavy construction, including: highways, water plants, wastewater plants, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations; should be able to write and/or modify safety procedures and protocols; perform safety inspections; provide safety options in owner meetings; and participate in safety committee discussions and insurance reviews.
Requirements:- 1-3 years in construction safety management.
- Proficiency in knowing and understanding OSHA regulations.
- Ability to skillfully write and suggest modifications to PKF safety procedures.
- Perform field safety inspections on a number of PA/NJ projects.
- Assist in safety solutions on-site.
- Local projects (within 100 miles from Newtown, PA).
- Ability to use Word/Excel.
- Ability to read construction plans/specs a plus.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in an accredited safety program, engineering program, or similar.
- Ability to teach internal safety classes a plus.
- Ability to work with multiple teams on safety-related issues on PA projects with the potential for North Jersey projects.
- Assist project teams with being proactive on safety items on-site.
- Positive attitude with crews when addressing safety concerns.
- Comfortable addressing safety issues immediately.
- Comfortable talking to owner representatives about safety issues.
