We have an opportunity for an S4 Product Owner to join us at Honeywell, in Atlanta or Charlotte, where you will be responsible for translating the S4 product vision and roadmap into actionable backlog items for your designated functional area. You will own, manage, and prioritize the Team Backlog, ensuring user stories, defects, and enablers are clearly defined, ordered by business value, and ready for delivery by the Agile team.


You will work closely with the S4 Product Manager, business stakeholders, process owners, and delivery teams to ensure the team understands business priorities, customer needs, and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities


  • Own, manage, and prioritize the Team Backlog for your S4 functional area, ensuring user stories, defects, and enablers are clearly defined and ordered by business value.
  • Translate the S4 Product Manager’s vision, roadmap, and program backlog items into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and team-level deliverables.
  • Act as the primary representative of business stakeholders and end-users for the Agile team, providing day-to-day clarification, guidance, and feedback.
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning by supporting feature breakdown, contributing to team-level PI objectives, identifying dependencies, and aligning sprint work to program priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, other Product Owners, Scrum Masters, business process owners, and technical teams to ensure alignment across the Agile Release Train.
  • Define and communicate acceptance criteria, validate completed work, and accept user stories upon completion to ensure they meet the Definition of Done.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, iteration reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery of business value.
  • Monitor sprint progress, address requirement questions, help remove blockers, and escalate risks or dependencies as needed.
  • Ensure delivered S4 capabilities support process standardization, operational efficiency, and business transformation objectives.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 3+ years of experience working as Project Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile delivery environment.
  • 3+ years of strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP S4, and innovation to order processes.
  • 3+ years of experience with Jira managing backlogs, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting Agile team execution.
  • 3+ years of experience with the ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements for technical and delivery teams.
  • 3+ years if experience with strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across business, IT, and delivery teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
