S&T Intern, Software Development

As a S&T Intern, Software Development, you will join the PPG Digital Team, engaging in various user interface development tasks related to coatings and gaining an in-depth understanding of PPG's business. You will report to S&T Research Assistant Manager, Portfolio. Your working location will be in Tianjin.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the company's internal digital transformation projects, assisting in the design and development of web application modules.参与公司内部的数字化转型项目，协助进行web应用的模块设计与开发。
• Apply cutting-edge digital technologies and tools to support business process optimization, intelligent product development, and innovative solution design.应用前沿数字技术和工具，支持业务流程优化、智能化产品开发和创新解决方案设计。
• Independently complete development tasks, demonstrating excellent debug and technical problem-solving skills.独立完成开发任务，展现出色的故障排查与技术问题解决能力。

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or master's degree student majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related fields.在读本科/硕士研究生，主修计算机科学、软件工程信息技术或者其他相关专业。
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as C#, Python, or Java, with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms; C# is preferred.熟练掌握至少一种编程语言，如C#, Python或Java，并具有扎实的数据结构和算法基础，C#优先；
• Skilled in development frameworks such as .NET, Django, Flask, FastAPI, or Spring Boot, with an understanding of their underlying principles; .NET is preferred.熟练掌握.NET、Django、Flask、FastAPI或Spring Boot等开发框架，并理解其底层原理, .net优先；
• Expertise in database operations with MySQL and Redis, including writing SQL queries and performance optimization.精通 MySQL 和 Redis 等数据库操作，具备编写 SQL 语句及性能优化能力；
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Alibaba Cloud, Azure) or familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular) is a plus.若具备云计算平台(如Alibaba、Azure)使用经验，或对前端框架(如Angular)，优先考虑；
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, passionate about exploring new technologies, and willing to take on challenges.具备良好的逻辑思维能力和问题解决技巧，热爱探索新技术，勇于接受挑战；
• Proficient in using development and management tools such as VS Code, IDEA, PyCharm, Git, Maven, etc.熟练使用开发管理工具：VS Code、IDEA、PyCharm、Git、Maven 等；
• Good awareness of coding standards, quality, and teamwork capabilities.具备良好的编码规范意识、质量意识及团队协作能力；
• Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to an internship duration of 6 months or more (3-4 days per week).能满足实习时长≥6个月（每周3-4天）者优先。
