S&T Intern, Artificial Intelligence

As a S&T Intern, Artificial Intelligence, you will join the PPG Digital Team, engaging in different algorithm and model development tasks related to coatings and gaining an in-depth understanding of PPG's business. You will report to S&T Research Assistant Manager, Portfolio. Your working location will be in Tianjin.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in our internal digital transformation projects, assisting with data analysis, data processing, and model building tasks.参与公司内部的数字化转型项目，协助进行数据分析、数据处理及模型构建工作。
• Apply the latest digital technologies and tools to support business process optimization, intelligent product development, and innovative solution design.应用前沿数字技术和工具，支持业务流程优化、智能化产品开发和创新解决方案设计。
• Keep up with digital development trends and collaborate with the team to strengthen the construction of the enterprise digital platform.紧跟数字化发展趋势，协同团队加强企业数字化平台建设。

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled master's degree student majoring in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or other related fields.在读硕士研究生，主修计算机科学、人工智能、统计学、数学、数据科学及其他相关专业。
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or R, with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.熟练掌握至少一种编程语言，如Python、Java或R，并具有扎实的数据结构和算法基础。
• Understanding of the basic principles, technologies, and application scenarios of machine learning, deep learning, data analysis, computer vision, and large language models.了解机器学习、深度学习、数据分析、计算机视觉和大语言模型的基本原理，技术和应用场景。
• Familiar with frameworks such as OpenCV, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.熟悉OpenCV、Scikit-learn、TensorFlow、PyTorch等框架的使用。
• Experience in data mining, image processing, and large language model applications; able to select and optimize appropriate algorithm models based on business scenarios.有一定的数据挖掘，图像处理和大语言模型应用的经验，能够基于业务场景，选择合适的算法模型并进行优化。
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, passionate about exploring new technologies, and willing to take on challenges.具备良好的逻辑思维能力和问题解决技巧，热爱探索新技术，勇于接受挑战。
• Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to an internship duration of 6 months or more (3-4 days per week).能满足实习时长≥6个月（每周3-4天）者优先。
