Azumo is looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Ruby on Rails (RoR). The position is based remotely in Latin America. The developer will work in the EST/ PST time-zone.
This position will give you the opportunity to collaborate with bright engineering minds in SaaS and big data computing. As a key engineer in the web team, you should excel with minimal technical supervision, embrace time constraints, and work with team members to deliver high quality products and features. You will enjoy the role if you love delivering well-factored and tested RoR applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and test server features and robust APIs
- Integrate existing applications with third party systems
- Evaluate multiple approaches and technologies to solving a problem.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience with backend development, Ruby on Rails
- 1+ years experience with virtual-dom based frontend technologies (React or Vue,js)
- Deep expertise with Linux and hosted cloud environments (Heroku, AWS, App Engine or other)
- Practical experience with open source technologies, including SQL and NoSQL DBs
- Experience integrating solutions with 3rd party APIs (RESTful, OAuth, JSON)
- Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
Preferred Qualifications:
- Love for coding and willingness to be agile
- Hacker spirit within a collaborative team
