Purpose of the role
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into the international aviation industry within the Record to Report (RTR) team, contributing directly to its financial health through meticulous reporting and analysis. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, collaborating closely with international operating companies. This position is ideal for a proactive and adaptable finance professional eager to drive continuous improvement and excel within a dynamic, global environment.Responsibilities
Carry out complex period end reporting in conjunction with the BPO including balance sheet and income statement analysis,
Calculations, preparation and posting of journal entries,
Control, accounting and reporting for fixed assets including ground assets,
Control, accounting and reporting for intragroup reconciliation,
Performing reconciliation of P&L accounts,
Performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts,
Close cooperation with Operating Companies on RTR related queries and processes including management of BPO service provider,
Support internal and external audit process as required,
Create and maintain documentation as per business needs,
Constantly search for process improvement opportunities, monitoring process and performance and making recommendations for changes.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications
Professional finance and accounting qualification/s and degree in Finance and Accounting or related field and/or demonstrated knowledge and experience in a finance and Accounting environment,
Fluent English,
Good understanding of finance theory and good level of practical finance experience in financial accounting and internal controls,
Adaptable and reliable with a strong "can do" attitude,
A strong customer focus, committed to exceeding customer expectations and continuous improvement,
Ability to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines and finite resources,
Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
Problem solving and issue resolution skills with resilience to resolve issues,
Good IT skills and experience of SAP is an asset,
Minimum 1 year of GL experience or 2 years of working experience in finance and accounting,
Experience in conducting global processes in a fast-paced, complex global organisation,
Experience working on a large project with accountability of delivering results that support the overall project objectives.
