Images are properly marked with right, left and other appropriate markers. ? Exams include all department defined views, following department protocols. ? Accurately identifies the patient and exam. ? Practices sterile technique to prevent contamination. ? Consistently shields patients to reduce radiation exposure. (25%)
- Performs exams in a timely manner. ? Exams are performed quickly while not compromising patient care or exam quality. ? Actively shares in patient volume. ? Uses time effectively to ensure exams are completed as soon as possible. ? Coordinates work flow with team members. (15%)
- Maintains accurate and complete patient and departmental records. ? When completing exams, billing is accurate. ? The indications for the exam are documented in the PACS system. ? Verifies correct exam title is displayed in the PACS system. ? Verifies completion of correct forms and procedure records for exam. ? Avoids the use of prohibited abbreviations in documentation. ? Consistently uses time clocks to accurately record hours worked. ? Keeps timecard correction forms accurate and up to date. ? Cleaning and defibrillator logs are completed as assigned. ? Complies with hospital policies and procedures. ? Reads emails each work day to stay abreast of recent communication. ? Reports adverse patient events to manager as soon as possible. (5%)

- SYVCH Specific: Additional imaging modality Certification required, such as MRI, Mammography, US, Dexa, CT. Time frame to achieve advanced Certification to be determined in consultation with Manager. (5%)
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum:
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program. Graduate from an accredited program or similar on the job training in one of the following modalities: CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, MRI, DEXA or student coordinator.
Preferred:
- Continuing education in radiologic technology and second modality.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Preferred:
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). Achievment of advanced certification in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography (CT and DEXA certifications must be achieved no later than 4/30/2020).
