We are looking for an experienced RPG Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications using RPG language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using RPG (RPG III/IV/ILE/Free) on IBM i platform
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, project management, and end users
- Document code and processes for future maintenance and upgrades
- Strong experience with RPG programming on IBM i (AS/400)
- Familiarity with CL, DB2/400, and SQL
- Highly experienced with DB2 and stored procedures
- Knowledge of AS/400 and iSeries is required
- Migration of legacy systems experience preferred
- Experience with modern RPG (Free Format, ILE) is a plus
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
