Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support applications written in RPG IV (ILE/Free format) and COBOL on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
- Analyze, design, and implement program changes to enhance business processes related to freight management, routing, dispatch, warehousing, and scheduling.
- Work closely with business analysts and end users to understand requirements and translate them into functional code.
- Support daily batch jobs and data interfaces between internal and external systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Document system modifications, technical processes, and procedures.
- Participate in system modernization initiatives, including potential migrations from legacy platforms.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in RPG (RPG IV, ILE, Free Format) and COBOL.
- Knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400)
- Hands-on experience with batch and real-time processing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
