Ropes Course Staff is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of a multi-level High Ropes Course facilitating a safe and one-of-a-kind guest experience.
Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour
Major Duties/Specific Tasks
- Facilitate the safe use of the 90 element High Ropes Course.
- Provide safety briefings and equipment instruction to customers prior to them entering the course.
- Ensure proper set up, take down, and daily safety checks of all course elements.
- Ensure customers are following all established safety standards and park rules.
- Provide great customer service.
- Assist with staff meetings and in-service trainings.
- May assist with handling money and associated paperwork.
- Assist with routine maintenance/repair of equipment.
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies including performing rescues on the climbing course.
- Administer first aid to injured patrons.
- Assist with maintaining record logs on inspections, employee training, visitation, and injury.
- Report unsafe conditions to the Ropes Course Supervisor, High Ropes Specialist or Park Manager.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Ropes Course Supervisor, High Ropes Specialist or Park Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Comfortable with heights.
- Successful completion of High Ropes Course training annually.
- Certification or ability to obtain certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
- Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Ability to learn the operation of the facility and to obtain a working knowledge of NOVA Parks.
- Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks.
- Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.
- Possession or ability to obtain valid driver’s license, must maintain safe driving record.
- Required to wear standard uniform.
Skills Required
