Roku Developer

This is a remote 1099 contract opportunity. (Note: This position is not open to C2C agencies)

Responsibilities

• Work with the Roku Scene Graph framework across a wide range of devices from low memory and low performance to top of the line Roku devices.
• Rapidly prototype and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable Roku applications using Roku Scene Graph.
• Design and build applications and related software systems to support both new and existing Roku channels.
• Upgrade and maintain client code as partner devices and platforms evolve.
• Contribute to the development of shared components and libraries.
• Enforce code quality through test driven development.
• Present and communicate project work to teammates and other project stakeholders (product managers, analysts, etc.).

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience building compelling client applications, preferably on connected device or mobile platforms.
• 2+ years experience developing Roku applications and using BrightScript and SceneGraph.
• In-app purchase experience. 
• Demonstrate good design and UX sensibilities.
• Proficient with version control and effective collaborative development workflows. 
• Able to quickly fix bugs and solve problems in large, complex apps. 
• Design-minded attention to detail in user interface implementation.
