The Rodbuster is responsible for assembling and installing reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete construction projects such as foundations, slabs, columns, bridges, and other structures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring structural integrity and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and rebar schedules
- Measure, cut, bend, and tie reinforcing steel using appropriate tools and equipment
- Install rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension cables in accordance with design specifications
- Secure rebar in place using wire, clips, or welds prior to concrete pours
- Work with cranes or rigging equipment to position heavy materials
- Inspect rebar installations to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Collaborate with supervisors, concrete crews, and other trades on-site
- Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 75+ pounds
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Active construction site with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience

- 1–3+ years of experience in concrete reinforcement or structural steel work preferred
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow technical instructions
