The Role

Rod Rig Floorhand (Class 1 or Class 3)

Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications, with overtime in accordance with provincial regulations

Shift Schedule: Rotational shifts, including days and nights as required by project demands

Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours per day, depending on operational requirements

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Rod Rig Floorhand (Class 1 or Class 3) to join our Valued Clients team in the Grande Prairie area. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to safety, teamwork, and high standards in oil and gas well servicing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with rig-up and rig-down of rod rig equipment

  • Handle rods, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Support rod rig operations under the direction of the operator and supervisor

  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite

  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and client-specific requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

  • Previous experience as a rod rig floorhand or in oilfield well servicing

  • Valid H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, and CSO (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks

  • Commitment to safety and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Grande Prairie region

  • Familiarity with rod pumping systems and downhole equipment

  • Additional oilfield safety certifications

Work Environment:
This role is field-based and requires working outdoors in remote locations. The position involves physical labor, extended hours, variable weather conditions, and strict compliance with safety standards.
