Position, cut, bend and fasten steel bars, rods, cables, and wire mesh in concrete forms per blueprints. Operate rod-bending machines, torches, saws and hand tools; perform stressing of cables, inventory and material ordering. Perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working at heights while following safety rules.

- Cleaning cables to prep stressing procedures
- Stressing cables with a use of a stressing jack
- Lifting over 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Standing/walking for a long period of time
- Climbing/descending ladders, working on heights
- Setting column cages, pier cages and wall reinforcement
- Flagging/Rigging rebar (trained personnel)
- Adhere to all FABco safety rules and policies
- Housekeeping

Skills Required

- Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform physical labor (bending, stooping, reaching, long periods standing/walking)
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing/descending ladders
- Ability to read and follow blueprints or specifications to determine rebar layout
- Experience using rod-bending machines, hand tools, wire pliers, acetylene torches, power saws and bar cutters
- Ability to cut, fit, tie and fasten rebar and welded wire fabric per plans
- Training/ability in flagging and rigging rebar and use of stressing jacks (trained personnel)
