Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring on behalf of our client for a Robotics Engineering Lead to join their team onsite in Santa Rosa, California. The client designs, simulates, prototypes, tests, manufactures, and optimizes technology and electronic solutions for the communications, 5G, automotive, energy, quantum, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor markets, serving customers in over 100 countries with a global workforce of approximately 16,800 employees.
In this role, the Robotics Engineering Lead will own the automation of targeted manufacturing processes from concept through full production deployment. This includes integrating collaborative robots (cobots) for assembly, handling, and test tasks, as well as deploying autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to move material across the production floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and robotics within a live manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mix of software and mechanical engineering skills
- Hands-on experience programming and integrating collaborative robots (e.g., Universal Robots or similar) and their end-effectors, grippers, and vision systems
- Experience with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and material-handling automation on a factory floor
- Experience with cobot simulation and offline programming tools to validate cobot cell layouts, cycle times, and reachability before physical deployment
- Experience with ROS / ROS 2 and robot simulation or digital-twin tools (e.g., RobotStudio, RoboDK, or vendor equivalents)
- Familiarity with 2D/3D machine vision, force/torque control, and pick-and-place applications
- Experience with AMR fleet management and integration with warehouse and manufacturing execution systems
- Experience in electronics or precision, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling and layout
- Working knowledge of machine safety standards and risk assessment for robotic and collaborative applications (e.g., ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066, ISO 12100, ISO 13849)
