Robotics will have a massive positive impact on the world economy and global human productivity over the coming decade. At Foxglove, we're excited for this future, and we're building powerful open source and commercial tools to accelerate it.
We're an experienced team of independent thinkers, with a passion for creating high quality products. We're looking for self-motivated and fast-learning individuals to join our mission.
About the roleAs a Developer Relations Engineer, you’ll be Foxglove’s technical storyteller and community builder. You’ll create engaging technical content — from explanation videos and tutorials to live demos and event talks — that help roboticists and developers get the most out of Foxglove.
You’ll represent Foxglove at conferences, online communities, and meetups, serving as the voice of our developer audience internally. You’ll combine creativity, empathy, and technical depth to inspire adoption, gather feedback, and foster collaboration across the robotics ecosystem.
LocationFoxglove is a remote-friendly company, with employees spread across many locations. We maintain Pacific Time hours and hire within ±4 hours of U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration.
For this role, we ideally looking for someone to work onsite from our office in San Francisco, since there will be significant robot hardware interactions.
What you'll doBuild real-world examples and reference projects that demonstrate how developers and robotics teams can use Foxglove across Physical AI and robotics workflows.
Use those projects as the foundation for educational content — creating world-class blogs, tutorials, videos, and live demos that help developers understand, adopt, and succeed with Foxglove’s platform.
Grow, support, and engage directly with the developer community across Slack, Discord, GitHub, Reddit, X/Twitter, and LinkedIn — answering questions, joining discussions, and amplifying user projects and feedback.
Livestream and share stories from robotics events, hackathons, and meetups to celebrate innovation and showcase how Foxglove enables cutting-edge work in Physical AI.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to surface community insights, identify developer pain points, and help guide roadmap priorities — occasionally contributing fixes or improvements directly to the product or documentation.
Contribute to open-source projects and build trust through authentic technical contributions, ensuring developers have working, well-documented examples they can learn from and build upon.
Champion developer experience internally, ensuring documentation, onboarding, and APIs are clear, consistent, and delightful for users.
Experiment with new formats and channels — from short-form video and podcasts to interactive demos and technical blog series — to reach developers in creative, impactful ways.
Reduce engineering support by proactively maintaining content, examples, and educational resources that help developers learn and troubleshoot independently.

What We Do
At Foxglove, we’re building powerful tools to accelerate robotics development. We believe that robotics will have a massive impact on our daily lives and the world economy over the coming decade, and that better quality software tooling will significantly accelerate this trend. Our team’s years of experience working in the robotics and self-driving industries means we are uniquely positioned to bring the advanced tools built in-house at larger companies to the increasing number of startups in this space, across a wide range of verticals.
Our first product, Foxglove Studio, is an open source visualization and diagnosis platform, specifically designed for working with robotics and sensor data. It allows you to easily inspect sensor inputs such as images, point clouds, and time series data, via a highly customizable 2D & 3D environment.
