STV is seeking aTransportation Engineering Specialist to join the team.   This position offers excellent potential for career advancement as this individual would assist staff and our other offices, who have a direct impact on the improvement of our national infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an individual who desires to be part of a team, displays confidence, and possesses a vast understanding of roadway design principles.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the PDOT and local County/City agencies
  • Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, typical sections, superelevation data and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets
  • Designing to adhere to ADA Standards
  • Coordinating design development and providing technical direction and mentorship to the design team
  • Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
  • Maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers
  • Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Successful completion of the FE exam to earn your EIT.
  • 0+ years of experience.
  • PDOT and municipal client experience is a plus
  • Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads modeling design software
  • OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Compensation Range:

$75,656.68 - $86,464.77
