Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.90 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

As an RN in the ICU, you should demonstrate exceptional social skills to foster patient comfort and genuine connections.  If you combine compassion, humanity and adeptness in handling complex tasks to deliver quality patient care, we invite you to apply and become a valuable part of our dedicated team.    

Responsibilities include:

  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously assess and monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.

  • Medication Administration: Deliver medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and sedation.

  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly in life-saving situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, or shock.

  • Diagnostic Support: Assist with and interpret diagnostic tests like blood work, imaging, and EKGs.

  • Medical Equipment Operation: Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care devices.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

  • Family Support: Provide emotional support and education to patients’ families about conditions and treatments.

  • Infection Control: Follow strict protocols to prevent the spread of infection in the ICU environment.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

1 year of Telemetry and RN experience highly Preferred
