At Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, our GI Lab team is dedicated to providing exceptional procedural care in a patient-centered environment. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab and support patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.As a GI Lab RN, you will collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality care throughout the patient journey, from pre-procedure assessment through recovery and discharge.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures.
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and ensure patient readiness for treatment.
- Monitor patients during procedures and throughout the recovery process.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other clinical team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Support quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Assist with procedural flow and patient throughput to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree of Nursing
Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.
*Required Certification from either AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
