Description

The Departmental Coordinator supports the operational, clinical, educational, and staffing functions of the clinical Department. This leadership role combines staffing coordination, employee education, quality improvement initiatives, and day-to-day operational management to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The Departmental Coordinator serves as a resource for staff, assists with departmental performance improvement activities, and assumes operational oversight of the department in the absence of the Director. Monitors work environment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Under the general supervision of a Nurse Manager, incumbent is responsible for 1 shift/day up to 40 hours/week, and overtime and call back as required by the hospital.            

Requirements

"They must have a valid Registered Nurse License and a valid BLS Certification.

Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously."            

Skills Required

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
