About the role

The Risk & Compliance Manager (internally known as Risk Partner) is responsible for providing commercial and pragmatic advice, check and challenge and monitoring/assessing business performance against Lendi Group’s risk appetite/risk profile. The role plays an important part in supporting the frontline business to use and help drive smart risk management practices to build Lendi’s risk maturity. Smart risk management requires innovative thinking (such as using automation and AI technologies in control design), an agile way of working and taking a pragmatic and commercial approach when supporting the business to make risk/reward decisions.  

Job Description

  • Monitor, provide insights, and report on risks.
  • Develop and embed risk management tools and frameworks.
  • Assist with Risk and Control Self-Assessments.
  • Identify and manage actions, incidents, and issues.
  • Maintain the Lendi risk management system.
  • Design and advise on best practice preventative and detective controls.
  • Offer specialist advice on supplier risk and governance processes.
  • Design and deliver operational risk and compliance training to stakeholders.
  • Review, manage, and escalate identified risks according to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare data for the divisional monthly risk reporting and facilitate sessions.
  • Support ad hoc risk and compliance activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Over 3 years’ experience in risk and compliance management within consumer lending and/or credit assistance provision.
  • Demonstrated understanding of various regulatory obligations including National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Privacy Act and Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act. 
  • Experience in control design, development and testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders of all levels.
  • Degree qualification (preferred).
