As a Risk Management - Software Engineer III - Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase on the Model Risk Governance & Review team, you support model reviewers and governance teams by building independent testing and efficiency tools. You deliver high-quality solutions by emphasizing data controls, testing, and user experience. You join a global team focused on model risk mitigation and technology innovation.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage MRGR server and technology asset lifecycle, coordinating compliance efforts with technology partners. Drive process engineering and software development for model risk technology
- Coordinate MRGR data quality, entitlement governance, and access management initiatives. Develop tools to automate data quality, governance, and regulatory compliance processes
- Identify opportunities and build intelligent solutions for MRGR data governance
- Assist in project management and coordination of regulatory deliverables
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with significant exposure to computer programming
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data governance or analytics platform development
- Proficiency in Python, with solid understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SDLC practices
- Strong communication skills to partner across functional areas. Risk and control mindset with critical thinking and solution design skills

- Familiarity with data governance and records management concepts
- Exposure to entitlement management, access governance, and role-based access control frameworks
- Experience with large data sets, data quality controls, and governed reporting
- Knowledge of Python web frameworks such as Tornado, TypeScript, and React
