Risk Associate, Business Continuity Risk Management

Capital One is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Risk Associate to join the Business Continuity Risk Management (BCRM) team within the Operational Risk Management second line of defense. BCRM is responsible for independent governance and oversight of Capital One's business continuity practices enabling Capital One to respond to and recover from business disruptions. BCRM also owns and manages Capital One's system of record for business continuity plans, and in this role you will be responsible for supporting related systems administration activities.
Successfully supporting systems administration will require, among other things, developing a deep understanding of BCRM methodologies, system configuration capabilities, related data and file transfers, and the general architecture of the system.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing user support through monitoring, investigating and addressing user questions.
  • Gathering and managing system change requests, including maintaining and helping prioritize the backlog of user change requests.
  • Monitoring and managing system access requests.
  • Communicating and reporting on user questions and concerns, configuration backlog priorities, and system access status.
  • Looking for opportunities to continuously improve system administration processes and user interactions.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of system administration experience or application help desk experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management or Project Management
  • At least 2 years of system administration experience or application help desk experience
