Super is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to assist the Risk team in developing quantitative risk metrics. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of risk management, data analysis, and automation.
You will work closely with the Risk Team and business stakeholders to help identify risks, assess the risk and develop mitigation strategies. A key part of this role is assisting the Risk Team in developing key risk indicators and monitoring key metrics.
What you'll be doing:
- Identifying Vulnerabilities: Helping the business continuously scan business operations, financial transactions, andIT systems to find where the company is exposed to loss or failure.
- Crunching the Data: Extracting and analyzing large datasets using tools like Excel/Google sheets, SQL, Python to measure the likelihood and financial impact of specific risks.
- Developing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs): Helping the Risk team to develop specific, measurable metrics that act as early warning systems, alerting leadership when a risk is creeping past an acceptable threshold.
- Building Visual Reports: Translating complex data into clear, easy-to-read dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) for executives who need quick insights.
- Driving Mitigation Strategies: Partnering with internal teams—like Audit, Legal, or Commercial—to design new controls or processes that lower the company's risk exposure.
- Monitoring Compliance: Ensuring the business is playing by the rules and adhering strictly to industry regulations and internal policies.
What we are looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Core competencies:
- Quantitative analysis, the ability to translate abstract risks into measurable, trackable metrics.
- Cross-functional collaboration, partner with key stakeholders to pinpoint vulnerabilities.
- Process automation, identify automation improvements.
- Data visualisation and reporting, design continuous improvement monitoring dashboards to provide real-time risk reporting.
Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to explain complex situations in simple terms
