RF / Microwave Engineer

Our client is an established global leader in the design and manufacture of RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave components. It supplies commercial, industrial, defense, and telecommunications customers worldwide. Its South Florida facility is a fast-growing hub for assembly, automated SMT production, and product testing. The site keeps adding new product lines, test capabilities, and departments as it expands. The company is adding engineers to support the production, testing, and continuous improvement of high-performance RF and microwave products built on-site. You’ll work closely with production, quality, and design teams to bring new products into the facility, develop and optimize test processes, and keep high-volume output running at a high standard of precision.

• Develop, validate, and maintain production test processes for RF/microwave components, including mixers, demodulators, power splitters/combiners, directional couplers, phase detectors, amplifiers, and switches
• Support the transfer of new products and test capabilities into the Florida facility, from setup through stable production
• Design, assemble, and troubleshoot test boards, fixtures, control boards, and harnesses
• Work with the SMT department to optimize pick-and-place assembly, solder processes, and yields
• Analyze test data and failures, drive root-cause analysis, and put corrective actions in place
• Improve throughput, test coverage, and cost efficiency through automation and process refinement
• Write and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation
• Train and support technicians and production staff on test methods and equipment

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in RF/microwave engineering, test engineering, or manufacturing engineering in an electronics production environment
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters
• Solid understanding of S-parameters, insertion loss, isolation, VSWR/return loss, noise figure, and related RF performance metrics
• Familiarity with SMT assembly processes and PCB-level troubleshooting
• Experience with test automation (Python, LabVIEW, C#, or similar) is a strong plus
• A strong analytical, data-driven approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work on-site in Hialeah, FL

• Bilingual English/Spanish (strongly preferred, given the collaborative production environment)
• Experience with high-mix, high-volume electronics manufacturing
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or statistical process control
• Experience with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)

• Base salary of $135,000 – $145,000, commensurate with experience
