Sunnova Energy is searching for a Revenue Management Specialist (RMS) to ensure that our customers receive accurate, timely, and informative bills, and drive the team’s efficiency and accuracy. In addition to standard RM tasks and functions, this team is responsible for executing billing, payment processing, updating payment results, resolving customer questions or problems, assisting in collection activities, and resolving billing exceptions/cases.

RM Specialist will be a primary point of contact for our team. This position requires excellent communication, strong analytical skills, leadership skills, sound judgment, and an ability to learn the intricacies of utility-billing. This position will need to take initiative developing relationships with other departments to find information for customer questions, following up when necessary; and overall creating a positive relationship with the customer.

Responsibilities

• Uses billing software to process invoices and receive payments; ensures accurate and timely processing of loan transactions
• Coordinates with third parties internally and externally (i.e. banks) to facilitate payments and resolve customer issues
• Provides quality analysis and analytics for leadership and fellow team members
• Applies annual true-ups and production guarantees, and ensures guaranties are accurate and applied on schedule
• Ensures all billing, payments and collection cases are resolved within the service-level agreement (SLA)
• Identifies proactive areas for improvement and facilitates change; simplifies the billing procedures to facilitate fast and effective processing
• Assists in training new agents
• Answers incoming customer questions about billing
• Performs billing audits pre/post invoice and draft, as well as performing extensive billing research for root-cause analysis
• Ensures each cycle’s prep, controls, and KPI reporting is completed on time and in full
• Works on and facilitates deployment of IT projects from inception to completion
• Completes other necessary duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5+ years’ related billing/research/reporting experience
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and other advanced excel functions & formulas
• Detail-oriented, ability to work within deadlines
• Self-Starter with the ability to learn, retain, and transition tasks efficiently and accurately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Salesforce and/or Infor Experience
• Proficient using Enabler, XL Connector, & SQL
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
