POSITION: Revenue Cycle Specialist II
Location: Grand Junction, CO or Pueblo, CO

Remote Work: This role follows a hybrid schedule, with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in the office each week.
Position Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in accounting or business-related field preferred; or High School Diploma with four (4) years’ experience required, preferably in health care accounts receivable setting.
Job purpose:
This position is responsible for benefits verification, explanation of benefits, collection, denial resolution and posting accounts to minimize aged receivables. This position also administers coverage plan setups, write offs, 270/271 process, and provides technical assistance to staff. This is a lead position for all commercial, Medicare and Medicaid billing.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability (include materials and equipment directly used):
- Must have ability to identify problems and provide suggestions for problem resolution in order to improve processes and/or work flow.
- Must have good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Basic knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, DSM, with basic charge and payment posting systems.
- Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer keyboard, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Health Solutions West sites. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental health conditions. Possible exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Skills Required
