A Kaniksu Community Health Revenue Cycle Project Manager is not just responsible for providing excellent customer service. They are committed to providing an excellent patient experience while performing essential clinical or administrative work in a fast-paced, productive environment. YOU ARE an essential team member charged with assisting patients in managing their care at Kaniksu Community Health.
A typical day might include of the Revenue Cycle Project Manager might include;
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for revenue cycle operations in collaboration with the Revenue Cycle Manager.
- Lead and manage revenue cycle improvement projects, including workflow redesign, system implementations, and process optimization.
- Analyze revenue cycle performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve cash flow, reimbursement, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and performance tracking for revenue cycle initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance, billing, clinical operations, IT, and compliance.
- Evaluate and improve processes related to:
- Patient registration and eligibility verification
- Coding and documentation
- Charge capture
- Claims submission
- Denial management
- Accounts receivable and collections
- Ensure compliance with payer regulations, billing guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Develop and implement revenue cycle best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as denial rates, days in A/R, clean claim rate, and collection ratios.
- Lead change management initiatives related to revenue cycle processes and technology.
- Provide guidance and support to the Revenue Cycle Manager and the Revenue Cycle Team
Experience Needed to Land this Gig:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations or healthcare finance preferred
- Demonstrated project management experience, including leading complex initiatives.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle.
- Experience analyzing operational and financial performance metrics.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare systems, clinics, or hospital settings.
- Project management certification (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Experience implementing or optimizing EHR or revenue cycle systems.
- Knowledge of payer reimbursement methodologies and regulatory requirements.
