Position Summary:
To provide supervision and coordination of Agency billing to ensure the efficient and accurate management of the revenue cycle, from patient registration and appointment scheduling to claims submission, payment processing, and revenue collection.
Patient Care:
Ensure Billing staff and MCA (Medical Chart Assessor) are fulfilling job requirements.
Ensuring accurate and compliant coding and billing practices to maximize reimbursement.
Fulfills additional performance responsibilities as assigned and as necessary.
Promotes the agency philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to patients/families, physicians and community agencies.
Attends all in-services scheduled or announced unless previously excused.
Complies with home health care Agency policies and procedures.
Provides effective written/verbal communication to patient/family, team members, and other health care professionals and maintains confidentiality.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1.Two-year college preferred
2.One-year experience at Administrative level in general office surroundings; One-year experience in home health care setting.
3.Working knowledge of medical terminology
4.Ability to type 50 WPM; 10-key by touch
5. Experience with Kinnser/Wellsky heavily preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED
1.Excellent computer skills required excellent interpersonal and organizational skill.
Prolonged sitting and some standing required. Occasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to 50pounds. Frequent need to stoop, kneel and reach while accessing files. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and staff/patient needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
