Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities, which relate to revenue generated by the company, are in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions and internal policies, procedures, and controls.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission and vision statement and objectives of S&K Gaming LLC as well as established policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of casino operations and relevant gaming issues, regulations, and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards
  • Oversees the balancing and accuracy in reporting of all cash and inventory assets of the company.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements all internal controls deemed necessary to ensure the highest level of asset protection.
  • Creates, distributes, and maintains exception notices and notifies departments of potential challenges.
  • Ensures that Management responds to exception reports in an effective and timely manner, notifies supervisors and training department to comply with policies.
  • Oversees the maintenance of an organized filling system for all Exception reports and all records.
  • Understand and recognize the MICS and TICS that apply to each exception notice.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining informational spreadsheets for all revenue departments and locations.
  • Reconcile daily audit paperwork to the backend system.
  • Investigate and explain in detail variances.
  • Print daily vendor reports, as needed.
  • Maintains and reviews all Player’s Club and Marketing promos ensuring compliance and integrity.
  • Directs the timely and accurate reporting of the financial position of the company.
  • Creates and distributes specified reports to various departments on a regular basis.
  • Ensures the integrity of all audits performed by the Revenue Audit/Accounting department
  • Monitors all financial activities of the properties, with respect to Revenue Auditing, ensuring all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the company, the CSKT Tribe, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the Revenue Audit/Accounting department
  • Reviews Gaming and Tax reconciliations and reports, to ensure accuracy and timely transmission of information to appropriate entities.
 
  • Coordinates monthly journal entries for financial reconciliation of revenue and balance sheet accounts.
  • Troubleshoots in the areas of system errors and/or audit questions.
  • Ensures all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, including suspicious activity reporting, are implemented, and adhered to. Performs observations, monitors applicable documentation and automated system data and reports deficiencies.
  • Conducts random Title 31 testing of all badged employees that are subject to Title 31 compliance.
  • As needed reviews and files CTRs electronically.
  • Conducts random independent Internal Audits aside from TGC of all department that are subject to MICS and TICS compliance.
  • As needed reviews all supporting documentation, reports and video footage for SAR review forms remitted to compliance. Responsible for completing SARs and ensuring manager reviews prior to filing SARs electronically.
  • As needed serves as a resource for casino departments in addressing compliance issues.
  • Creates financial spreadsheets on the computer, programming necessary formulas into the file, and updating information on a regular basis.
  • Ensures a maximum level of company-wide service and satisfaction in Revenue Audit/Accounting is achieved and maintain.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout all properties.
  • Understands and monitors all computerized systems utilized by revenue generating departments.
  • Cooperates with Internal and External auditors, Compliance, and Investigations as necessary
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Responsible for maintaining consistent and regular attendance records for self.
  • Held accountable, to a very high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related area from a community college or vocational school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Casino Revenue Audit
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge required.
  • Preferred but not require having a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in revenue audit or related area, preferably in the gaming industry
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGULATIONS
  • Required to complete Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act annually.
  • Required to watch Customer Service video annually.
  • Required to watch Sexual Harassment video every 2 years.
  • Must complete a gaming application and the fingerprint process.
  • This individual will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and as a condition of employment will be subject to random drug testing.
  • It is always the responsibility of the employee to have all documents current and valid.

Skills Required

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related area, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in casino revenue audit
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Completion of annual Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act training
  • Completion of gaming application and fingerprint process
  • Successful pre-employment drug test and participation in random drug testing
  • At least two years of revenue audit or related experience, preferably in the gaming industry
