As a Weekend Respite Lead 1 at Pathways to Community, you’ll be at the heart of our weekend respite program—bringing joy, structure, and support to adults with developmental disabilities through engaging, community-based experiences.
By helping to lead community outings like trips to the Mall of America, sporting events, amusement parks, arcades or a dinner out, you’ll be having fun while making a difference in the lives of our individuals.

Position Title: Respite Lead 1 
Schedule: Every Saturday 10:00am-Sunday 11:00am.
Position Type: Part-time, 25 hours per week
Compensation: $18.75 per hour
Location: Twin Cities Metro.  
In this role you will be making a difference by:
  • Providing oversight to the respite program on weekends, leading staff and providing directions.
  • Assisting with personal care as needed.
  • Cooking and light cleaning.
  • Providing constant supervision.
  • Administering medications
  • Transporting individuals to and from community events.
  • *This position does require you to work with individuals who need help with personal cares, have behaviors, and requires you to be available for last-minute schedule changes.

To be considered for this role you must:
  • Carry a valid driver’s license, proof of valid insurance, and have daily access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Hold an acceptable driving record.
  • Possess strong English communication skills.
  • Be able to participate in water activities (pool, waterslides, hot tub, etc.)
  • Be able to pass a DHS and nationwide criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
