Job Summary:
- Accurately enter patients into the hospital scheduling system for outpatient testing.
- Assure precertification requirements are met when patient is scheduled and complete follow-up if needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records of scheduling guidelines from all scheduling centers and follow all procedural guidelines and instructions on all scheduled procedures.
- Accurately and thoroughly document pertinent information regarding the handling of the account, including researching prior accounts.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology required.
Experience:
Two years’ medical terminology experience required. Phone experience preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Computer experience required. Must be able to type 30 WPM.
