As Resource Manager, you will be responsible for building and embedding a proactive, data driven resourcing function that supports Enfuse Group’s next stage of growth. You will act as the central link between Sector & Capability Leads, the People Team and the Finance & Operations Team to ensure the effective allocation, forecasting, development, and optimisation of our consulting workforce. This role is critical to ensuring we have the right skills, at the right time, to deliver our planned growth and maintain our gross margin targets.  

You will introduce structure, discipline, forecasting accuracy, and future planning capability across the resourcing lifecycle, helping Enfuse move away from reactive resourcing and toward a strategic workforce planning model fit for our team. 

What You Will Be Doing

Workforce Planning & Forecasting 

  • Build and maintain a forward-looking workforce plan aligned to sales pipeline, capability strategy, and growth plans. 
  • Implement and own a skills matrix that supports accurate resource forecasting, succession planning, and skills gap analysis. 
  • Identify future hiring needs across all levels, in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Lead and the Sector & Capability Leads. 
  • Model the impact of emerging delivery changes (team-based delivery, reduced Associate model, AI and offshore augmentation).based delivery, reduced Associate model, AI and offshore augmentation). 

Resource Allocation & Scheduling 

  • Own the end-to-end resource scheduling process, ensuring the right mix of skills and capacity across all engagements. 
  • Work with Sector & Capability Leads and the People team to match consultants to projects based on capability, development needs, cost, fit, and utilisation priorities. 
  • Monitor, report and challenge utilisation, surfacing risks early and supporting mitigation plans. 
  • Maintain up-to-date insight on people availability, conflicts, and future bench. 

Capacity, Skills & Development Insights 

  • Partner with People Team to support succession and progression planning. 
  • Provide data and insights to inform L&D priorities, capability building, and career pathways. 
  • Identify roles that should transition to permanent hires to reduce Associate dependency. 

Resourcing Governance & Process Improvement 

  • Introduce clear ways of working, documentation and governance for all resourcing processes. 
  • Ensure consistency across pipelines, capacity reports, and resourcing meetings. 
  • Work with Finance & Operations to evolve tools and systems that support scheduling, demand planning, and skills tracking. 
  • Support recruitment coordination where required by Talent Acquisition Lead. 
  • Ensure all resourcing processes actively align with Enfuse’s DEI policies, including fair allocation practices, transparent decision-making, equal access to development opportunities, and mitigation of bias in resourcing decisions. 

Strategic Input & Business Partnering 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to CFO/COO and Sector & Capability Leaders regarding workforce shaping. 
  • Provide regular insights to aid budgeting, board reporting, hiring plans, profitability, and future organisation design. 
  • Contribute to modelling for 5 year plan workforce scenarios and AI-enabled delivery approaches. 

Requirements

Essential Experience & Skills 

  • Proven experience in resource management within consulting or professional services. 
  • A genuine “people person” able to build strong relationships across all levels, listen actively, understand individual strengths and development needs, and create an environment where people feel supported and set up for success. 
  • Strong forecasting, capacity planning, and workforce modelling capability. 
  • Experience implementing or maturing skills matrices and resourcing tools. 
  • Ability to challenge constructively, balance trade-offs, and influence senior stakeholders. 
  • Highly organised, analytical, and systems driven with excellent attention to detail.  
  • Ability to work at pace within a growing and changing organisation. 

Desirable 

  • Experience supporting sector-based consulting models. 
  • Understanding of AI-driven workforce planning or offshore/nearshore delivery. 

Ways of Working

  • Hybrid working with the expectation of in-person collaboration routinely. 
  • Responsible for maintaining high integrity of people data across resourcing systems. 
  • Works collaboratively across People and Sector/Capability teams.
