The FSW team supports the global Household Care business by delivering high‑quality wash performance data and by developing advanced full‑scale wash testing capabilities that enable future innovation. You will be part of a collaborative, hands‑on laboratory environment where scientific rigor, teamwork, and curiosity drive our daily work.
The Role & Your Impact
As a Research Scientist, you will play a key role in planning and executing full‑scale wash performance studies that directly support product development and technical decision‑making across the Household Care portfolio.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Independently planning, executing, and documenting wash performance studies in line with project plans, and agreeing on deliverables (datasets, summaries, and recommendations) with project leaders
- Collaborating closely with key internal stakeholders such as global application research and regional technical service teams
- Defining, developing, and implementing test methods, equipment, and laboratory capabilities to solve cross‑disciplinary technical challenges
- Exploring and driving impactful new ideas, technologies, and approaches within the FSW working area
- Providing clear guidance to laboratory assistants to ensure timely, efficient, and well‑prioritized task execution
- Contributing to FSW technology roadmaps and capability strategies that support future business needs
- Implementing and maintaining company policies, safety standards, and QMS requirements
This role has a local execution focus with strong interaction across global internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
To succeed in this role, you bring a solid scientific foundation combined with a collaborative and execution‑driven mindset:
- A Master’s degree with 3+ years of laboratory or industry experience, or a PhD in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills, including basic statistics and experience in data analysis and interpretation
- Ability to execute tasks independently while working effectively as part of a team
- Strong teamwork spirit with clear and confident communication skills
- Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities
- A customer‑centric mindset and strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to contribute to innovation
Additional Skills & Interests We Value
While not required, the following experience would be considered an advantage:
- Hands‑on experience with data analysis tools such as SAS JMP, Excel, or Power BI
- Experience working in application research, product testing, or industrial laboratory environments
- Exposure to structured quality systems and laboratory best practices

- This is an office‑based role located in TEDA, Tianjin
- You will work closely with laboratory colleagues and internal stakeholders in a collaborative, hands‑on environment
- Standard working hours apply; no regular travel is expected
