GenScript is looking for a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous individual to join our RNA team for new RNA product research and development as Research Scientist. This position will focus on developing new RNA product with molecular biology method to design, engineer and evaluate their quality and function.
Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer new RNA products based on in vitro transcription method.
- Optimize RNA constructs and test new designs for its function.
- Manage project timeline and leverage internal resources to push projects forward.
- Generate, interpret and present data to project team.
- Maintain an up-to-date accurate lab notebook records of performed studies.
- Monitors supply inventory and identifies any products required.
- Maintains work area, equipment, department and all storage areas in a clean, neat and orderly manner.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- PhD's degree in molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering or related field.
- >2 years of relevant experience in molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
- Direct experience with nucleic acid design, synthesis, and assessment in tissue culture or animal models with a robust technical skill set to math.
- Strong collaborative instinct with good time and resource management skills
- Broad molecular biology knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems.
- Works collaboratively with team members to support each other
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A sense of humility and an eagerness to continue to learn and contribute to a supportive team

Compensation:
Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
