Job Overview:
Eventbrite is seeking a Contract Design Operations Specialist - Foundations. This contract role will focus on streamlining and supporting the operational needs of our Foundations team - the pillars of our user experience practice. You’ll be responsible for manage processes and projects across three critical areas that support our overall UX strategy: Design Systems, UX Research Practices, and Writing for UX. You will manage the processes, tools, and logistics that support the product lifecycle, collaborating closely with the Director of Design Operations, researchers, designers, writers, and stakeholders to coordinate research activities across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:Operations of Foundations Team:
Design Systems:Work closely with the core team of design system designers and engineers with cross-functional teams bridging the gap between design and development to optimize the processes and standards for taking new design system components and templates from design to release. Assist in planning and process implementation with cross-functional partners for the scaling of the design system to all surfaces and product areas in a large, complex organization.UX Research:Optimize UX research practices that provide actionable insights and drive informed design decisions. Ensure research is a key input in all stages of product development. Champion the importance of research in understanding customer needs and validating design hypotheses. Foster collaboration with Product, Design and Engineering teams to ensure best practices are in place.Writing for UX Content Strategy: Oversee the operations of UX writing practice that ensures clear, consistent, and user-centric communication throughout our digital experiences. Partner with designers, product managers, and marketing teams to ensure that UX writing is integrated into our product design and development process
Project Prioritization and Logistics:
- Work with the Operations partners, Design Managers prioritize projects based on business goals and team capacity.
- Track and document project timelines to ensure alignment with cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with design and product teams to manage dependencies effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams (product, design, marketing) to ensure research requests are logged and addressed efficiently.
Process Optimization and Documentation:
- Collaborate with the Director of Design Operations to enhance operations processes for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for operations processes, ensuring ease of use for the entire team.
Tools and Platform Management:
- Oversee the management of tools (e.g., survey tools, user testing platforms, collaboration tools, accessibility/localization tools).
- Ensure tools are up-to-date, troubleshoot issues, and onboard new team members as needed.
- Research and recommend new tools or platforms to improve research efficiency.
Research Support:
- Support UX researchers as needed in:
- Coordinating interviews, tests, and focus groups across different time zones.
- Managing participant recruitment, including scheduling, coordinating, payment with external recruitment agencies when necessary.
- Recording research sessions (in-person or remote), ensuring proper documentation, notes, observations.
- Support the research team in maintaining a repository of research insights for easy access by cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:
- Project Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage teams, scheduling, and logistics with precision.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising across teams and stakeholders.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with product design tools such as user testing platforms, collaboration software, and project management tools
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, anticipate needs, and adjust to changing priorities.
- Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with design, product, engineering teams to foster collaboration and support quality design outputs
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a research operations or UX/Product design operations role - ideal candidate has experience with Research and Design Systems
- Familiarity with Product UX best practices.
