YouGov’s Public Sector & Charities team produces important research for central government departments and agencies, charities, academics and NGOs in fields such as public health, equalities, public opinion, social marketing and communications. Much of our work is published and YouGov is a trusted source of information.

For the Public Sector & Charities team you’ll be working on research projects on a whole host of topics for a wide range of clients and helping senior staff deliver research.

The role relies on excellent team work, communication and quantitative research skills; you’ll be working with others such as our qualitative research and advanced analytics teams and directly with clients to design and deliver research which that is insightful, clear, unbiased and stands up to public scrutiny.

There is an expectation of attending the London office at least 2 days a week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Part of a strong, supportive and successful team that is passionate about social issues and works in partnership with our public sector and charities clients. 
  • With client contact from the start you'll be part of small project teams, working on the design of questionnaires, project management and reporting. 
  • Project administration, overseeing end to end completion of projects, ensuring research design objectives are met and projects are well managed.
  • Work on the production of Word and Powerpoint reports for clients with a role in presenting findings to clients.
  • Ensure reports are insightful (not merely reporting data) and all outputs are clear and impactful.

Qualifications:

  • Educated up to degree level in a relevant subject - could also have MRS Advanced Certificate or be studying towards achieving.
  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience, gained at a research agency or a mix of agency and client-side
  • Experienced in delivering research projects, some with independent working and others in a supporting role
  • Some quantitative research experience essential, an appreciation and understanding of qualitative research is an advantage. 
  • Public Sector or Charity research experience desirable but not essential – should have at least have an interest in the subject matter
  • An interest in social or market research and social issues.
