About the Role
We are looking for a Research Engineer to bridge the gap between academic AI research and scalable product development. You'll work closely with AI researchers, product teams, and engineers to prototype, fine-tune, and deploy state-of-the-art language models using platforms like Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, and Hugging Face.
Key Responsibilities
Design and run experiments to evaluate model performance, bias, hallucination, and user alignment
Implement, fine-tune, and deploy LLMs using techniques like prompt tuning, LoRA, RLHF, or instruction tuning
Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into production systems (APIs, applications)
Analyze training data and pre/post-processing pipelines for model input/output
Stay up-to-date with the latest AI papers, tools, and benchmarks (e.g., MMLU, HELM, TruthfulQA)
Maintain documentation of experiments, hyperparameters, and evaluation results
Strong programming skills in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
Experience working with transformer models (BERT, GPT, T5, etc.)
Familiarity with LLM deployment platforms (Vertex AI, Hugging Face, OpenAI API)
A deep understanding of ML concepts such as transfer learning, attention mechanisms, optimization
Practical experience in experiment tracking (Weights & Biases, TensorBoard, MLflow)
Skills Required
