This is what you can look forward to
As a Student Lab Assistant you will be assisting Hempel’s R&D technicians in the preparation and/or testing of products. You will be part of the Global Raw Material and Formulation Management team which is consisting of 10 employees at the moment.
Your daily task:
- Preparation of laboratory paint samples and application of test specimens in a timely and organized method following established standard procedures
- Carry out relevant tests on paint samples
- Prepare accurate and complete records to be completed for traceability of work carried out
- Ensure maintenance, safety and tidiness of equipment used in R&D laboratory
- Follow all guidelines and Group procedures regarding Health & Safety and Environment
The ideal candidate
We imagine that you are currently studying a Master/Bachelor degree in Chemistry or a related study. You are carrying out studies to become a chemical/pharmaceutical laboratory technician. Beside that you have a genuine interest in working within Research & Development and find the chemistry in paint and coatings interesting. As a person you have a good eye for details and it comes natural for you to work organised and structured. Finally, you are a good team player and have a positive mindset. As English is our corporate language you need to be fluent in English both verbal and in writing.
