FDB (First Databank, Inc.) is actively seeking a Research Associate to join the Editorial Content team. The Research Associate will be responsible for accurately processing and maintaining pharmaceutical product data to support the integrity of the company’s healthcare knowledge base.
The role requires someone who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, review manufacturer submissions, verify and enter product information, identify and resolve data discrepancies, and ensure compliance with established editorial standards and procedures. The role demands communication with manufacturers, customers, and internal stakeholders, and the ability to analyze, quality check, and maintain high-quality data. Success in this role depends on a commitment to accuracy, continuous process improvement, and adherence to evolving policies, work instructions, and quality standards.
This position is based out of our Carmel, IN office and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work onsite at least three days per week.
Responsibilities:
Review and process manufacturer submissions and other source information for inclusion in knowledge base content.
Perform accurate data entry of coded and uncoded information into editorial systems.
Analyze and resolve discrepancies identified in audits and reports, escalating when necessary.
Conduct basic research, interpret findings, and apply editorial policies appropriately.
Support team goals by collaborating, cross-training, and serving as a backup as needed.
Take ownership of assigned work, ensuring accountability and accuracy.
Required Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey findings and issues.
Solid IT literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Demonstrated interest in working with systems, workflows, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Experience:
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Associate in Science (AS) in health or biological sciences (preferred).
Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB certified) with at least 2 years of healthcare pharmacy technician experience (desired, not required).
Strong aptitude for learning and working within editorial, database, and workflow management systems.
Familiarity with automation concepts, AI-assisted tools, or technology-driven workflow improvements is highly desirable.
High level of IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow work procedures, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and productivity standards.
