The Ohio State University invites applications for one full-time Research Associate positions in Dr. Ethan Morgan’s lab. The overarching goal of Dr. Morgan’s lab is to advance our understanding of mechanisms through which different types of stressors (e.g., PTSD) impacts substance use among those living with HIV and at risk of acquiring HIV.

The Research Associate will contribute to conducting an NIH-funded study (R01AA032464). This role will include managing the day-to-day operations of the study, including preparing and managing IRB submissions, managing study budgets, online participant recruitment (e.g., creating and distributing advertisements, monitoring recruitment channels, reviewing screener data), programming surveys, corresponding with participants (e.g., responding to emails and texts), paying participants, data analyses, and assisting with other project-related tasks as needed.

The Research Associate will also have opportunities to contribute to manuscripts and conference presentations using data from this and other studies, including potentially leading manuscripts. This type of experience can be helpful in preparing to apply to graduate programs in a range of public health and clinical fields.
