Requirements
Has
worked in the area of Personal Care product development and evaluations (usage
and product life cycle).
Has
hands-on
experience in product development or formulation development, prototype development
and wet chemical analysis related to product and in handling instruments such pH
meter, Moisture Analyser, Viscometer and other basic analytical instruments
used in Personal Care.
Has been involved in cosmetic formulation development activities like
making batches, conducting stability and sensorial evaluations etc.
Skills :
Sound
understanding of the principles of Chemistry, process chemistry of Soaps and
solids.
Familiarity with raw materials used in personal
care products and properties
Excellent communication skills (spoken and
written)
Clarity in thoughts, enthusiastic, self-driven and
has willingness to learn
Knowledge of cosmetic,
personal wash, bar soaps and home care formulation development, wet chemistry
and instrumental analysis methods
Knowledge of Surfactants,
oleo chemicals and Raw Material functional benefits.
Adequate knowledge on usage of basic IT and statistical tools.
Skills Required
- M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Oils, Oleochemicals and Surfactants Technology, Chemistry, Cosmetics, or a related field
- First-class degree from a reputed university
- Three to six years of professional experience
- Experience in personal care product development and product evaluations
- Hands-on experience with formulation, prototype development, and wet chemical analysis
- Experience handling pH meters, moisture analyzers, viscometers, and other basic analytical instruments
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for soaps and cosmetics
- Experience making cosmetic formulation batches and conducting stability and sensorial evaluations
- Experience with scale-up, pilot plant batch making, and sensorial studies of personal care products
- Understanding of soap and solid process chemistry
- Familiarity with personal care raw materials and their properties
- Knowledge of cosmetics, personal wash, bar soap, and home care formulation development
- Knowledge of surfactants, oleochemicals, and raw material functional benefits
- Basic knowledge of IT, computers, and statistical tools
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
