The Opportunity
As Research Associate III, you are responsible for conducting research, development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to support Ventana projects. You exercise technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. You prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses and present and discuss results of experiments within the department and project team. You maintain high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and may participate in conferences and professional societies. You follow company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, Design Control and others as appropriate and maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files.
You will also be responsible for tissue staining and screening on VENTANA automated slide stainers. Actively engage in feasibility, characterization, verification and validation studies for immunohistochemistry/in situ hybridization assays. You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team with excellent time management skills and participate in SAFe/Agile planning and report outs. You have experience with general product development process in a highly regulated industry, preferably in vitro diagnostics and participate in cross-functional product characterization studies.

You hold a bachelor's in Science and bring 4 years of relevant experience, required.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson is $69,700 - $105,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
