KBI is seeking a Research Associate I/II with a passion for and the motivation to perform analytical testing in partnership with internal and external pharmaceutical clients. The qualifying individual will be a part of the KBI Boulder Analytical Development team in AFS, developing and supporting testing for GMP activities.
Qualified team members will be capable of:
- performing bio-analytical techniques including HPLC/UPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot and plate-based assays (ELISA, etc.)
- producing high quality GMP data and GMP documentation suitable for publication and regulatory requirements;
- adhering to all safety requirements and procedures.
Team members will be dedicated to meeting committed targets and schedules. Team members will also have the ability to react productively to change and handle other essential tasks as requested. A successful candidate strives for continuous improvement, generation of high-quality data/documentation, and proactively addresses observed scientific opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand microbial protein therapeutic process development and appropriate analytical tools through biochemistry knowledge.
- Work closely with team members and other staff to perform analytical methods to support process development and recommend creative technical problem-solving options.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of results via electronic notebook, technical documents, power point, etc.
- Present data to internal and external teams to provide program direction.
- Provide support in design and development of analytical test methods.
- Provide support for the review and approval of analytical test methods, study protocols and technical reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biopharmaceutical Development or related disciplines. Increased levels of education and experience will factor into the precise title in the Research Associate category and overall compensation.
- Experience with cGMP and biotechnology-derived product regulations a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good critical thinking and scientific skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and clearly present complex data with conclusions.
Education/Experience:
- B.A. or B.S. degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related area (or equivalent training).
- Research Associate I requires degree as described plus 0+ years experience.
- Research Associate II requires degree as described plus 2+ years experience (or MS and 0 years experience).
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
