Overview:
BrainCheck, Inc has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Research Assistant to contribute their efforts towards study activities in an active research project. We are looking for a Research Assistant in Buffalo, NY. This project involves direct engagement with older adults on a day to day basis. You’ll serve as the face of BrainCheck displaying appropriate decorum and demeanor when engaging with older individuals and participating organizations.
Key responsibilities & Duties:- Travel onsite to participating study locations within and around the designated region
- Assist with the recruitment, schedule coordination, correspond with study participants, disseminate and collect study-related activities and materials, maintain study documents and information confidentially and securely
- Conduct in-person interviews in accordance with the study protocol
- Responsible for the recording and maintenance of high-quality data and documentation entered into an electronic system
- Adhere to standardized and rigorous protocols, GCP, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements
Qualities:
- You have impeccable in-person communication. There will be a wide range of people to interact with who have varying degrees of social communication and behavior. Being able to listen and communicate clearly will be necessary to deliver directions and information.
- You are dependable to make independent sound decisions. You will need to have independent judgment in the field to solve emergent research problems that arise during data collection
- You are detail-oriented, both in your observations and your written documentation
- You are reliable to conduct your work under limited supervision and provide timely updates
- You are flexible with your schedule and ability to work
- You have strong organizational skills
- You are willing and have the ability to travel with reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in human research or healthcare, particularly qualitative interview studies
- Basic understanding of research methodology and medical terminology
- Experience working with older adults
