We are looking for a curious and enthusiastic Research & Development Engineer to join our engineering team in Edmonton.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys going beyond simply determining whether a design works and wants to understand why it works, why it fails, and how it can be improved.
The primary focus of the position will be computer simulation and analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys diving deep into an engineering problem, developing a sound understanding of the underlying physics, building an appropriate simulation, interpreting the results critically, and communicating their conclusions to others.
While simulation will be the primary focus of the role, approximately 20–30% of the position will involve R&D development, troubleshooting, physical testing, fixture design, and occasional mechanical/tool design.
Our engineering group is fast-paced team and driven by innovation, operational excellence, and customer intimacy. We work closely with manufacturing and operations to develop, improve, and support oilfield completion tools.
If you are a technical person who loves understanding how things work, enjoys solving difficult technical problems, and wants to make simulation a core part of your engineering career, we encourage you to apply.
