We are looking for a Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst to join our Templeton Global Investments team based in Singapore or Hong Kong. This role is primarily responsible for conducting fundamental research and analysis of technology companies in Taiwan including cash flow, balance sheet and income statement evaluations. This role will require the incumbent to compile data from multiple sources and develop financial models.
How You Will Add Value?Conduct independent research and fundamental analysis of publicly listed Technology companies in Taiwan
Analyze and interpret financial statements and all other pertinent sources of investment information for assigned companies
Develop detailed financial models, research reports and insights on assigned coverage companies
Provide written and oral presentations of investment recommendations to the investment team and keep the team updated on a regular basis of any changes to the recommendations or forecasts
Analyze and interpret economic developments, macroeconomic trends, and political developments in the assigned coverage
Maintain a general knowledge of the global investment climate, market conditions and economic environment
Education, Certification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree. CFA holder or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred
5-10 years of solid research/investment experience in Technology sector, with deep knowledge of Taiwan market
5-10 years of experience working in the strategy office, finance department or technical sales of a Taiwanese semiconductor or IT hardware company
Seniority of the role will depend on the years of relevant experience
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in leveraging AI apps and tools to enhance the quantity and quality of professional output.
Strong fundamental research, quantitative, and financial analysis skills including fluency in analyzing financial statements.
Skilled in building and analyzing financial models
Experience developing different valuation models, including DCFs
Ability to identify themes, innovations, and trends, and translate them into actionable investment ideas across different markets
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Bloomberg
Soft Skills:
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving ability
Have an adaptable, open mindset and be willing to pursue lifelong learning and improvement
Self-starter and ability to work independently
Meticulous and detail-oriented
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required due to the scope of the role.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
