Job Summary

Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on all critical infrastructures. Provides on-site customer training on operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting. Checks the auditing and field work done by contractors and in-house technicians for quality and completion.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots equipment and network problems; removes and replaces defective modules; tracks spares and ensures repair.
  • Installs equipment in support of network and customer requirements. Interacts with customers to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Completes work orders, trouble tickets and maintenance tickets in a timely manner.
  • Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems.
  • Lifts and carries loads of 70 lbs. or more.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and operate aboveground up to 24’ feet above ground, as determined by the system's requirements.
  • Performs residential installation and services calls as needed
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), local travel, and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Telecommunications experience required.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written) highly preferred.
  • Cable/fiber knowledge highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office highly preferred.
