The role of Reporting Analyst specialising in Power BI, will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The role will work closely with various departments to gather requirements, create insightful reports, and dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Expertise in Power BI will be crucial in transforming raw data into actionable insights to support business objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Support the production reporting solutions for the group.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into effective and efficient data visualizations and analytics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing detailed data validation and testing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Monitor and maintain Power BI solutions, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
  • Train and support end-users in utilizing Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.
  • Document processes, standards, and best practices for Power BI development and reporting.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field required
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Reporting Analyst or similar role with a focus on Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
  • Strong understanding of database management and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements.
