What we’re looking for: 

Nexamp is seeking a Portfolio Project Manager tasked with management of technical due-diligence reviews of Nexamp solar and storage distributed generation projects throughout the U.S. in support of project financing. This work includes coordination of design reviews, energy assessments with PVsyst, site visits and construction monitoring, commissioning tests, and performance analysis of operating plants. This will be accomplished through technical expertise, thorough understanding of financial implications, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and clear communication with third-party reviewers. 

We are accepting candidates in our Boston, MA and Chicago, IL Headquarters where you will be hybrid). You will report to the Director, Renewable Portfolio Services.

What you’ll do:  

  • Manage the due-diligence process undertaken by external third-party engineers of Nexamp project portfolio in the support of necessary financing (Tax Equity Financing, etc.). 
  • Coordinate communications between Independent Engineer and Nexamp internal team (engineering, finance, procurement, operations, etc.) 
  • Monitor critical project milestones (Mechanical Completion, Permission to Operate, Substantial Completion) and coordinate necessary third-party certifications required for financing. 
  • Facilitate the exchange of project information to applicable parties in support of due-diligence reviews. Manage deliverables of independent engineers (reports, certificates, etc.) in tandem with applicable financing schedule. 
  • Support the management team in the development of a portfolio pipeline from a design iteration and risk perspective. 
  • Interpret internal technical responses and act as liaison between Nexamp technical experts and IE technical leads. 
  • Manage the organization of necessary project documents and design reviews.  

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector/construction
  • Independent engineering experience with technical and financial due diligence background 
  • BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent 
  • Solar PV design, construction, or testing and commissioning experience strongly preferred 
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality. 
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions. 
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry. 
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
